Accomplished healthcare executive with over 20 years of progressive leadership in quality, patient safety, risk management, regulatory compliance, and clinical operations across diverse healthcare systems, including large multi-state medical groups, academic medical centers, tribal health systems, and large integrated delivery networks. She has directed multi-site quality and risk/safety programs, overseeing infection prevention, risk management, compliance, and regulatory affairs; deep familiarity with TJC, CMS, CDPH/GACH, URAC, and NCQA standards. Heather has led successful JC, CARF, CDPH GACH and CMS audits; designed and operationalized policy frameworks that consistently achieved high validation ratings. Her background includes extensive experience with investigating adverse events, conducting in-depth care and risk reviews of cases from both the patient and facility standpoints, as well as depositions and testimony for trials. As a train the trainer for Communication and Optimal Resolution (CANDOR) as well as High Reliability Organization (HRO) work, she has indepth knowledge of adverse event management, mitigation, and prevention.
